Compression Therapy
Compression therapy is a recovery-focused wellness service that uses controlled, sequential pressure to support circulation and tissue recovery. By applying rhythmic compression to the limbs, this modality is commonly incorporated into wellness and recovery routines to help the body move fluid more efficiently and support post-activity recovery. Compression therapy offers a comfortable, low-stress experience that fits easily into both active and everyday wellness lifestyles.
How does compression therapy work?
Compression therapy works by applying controlled, rhythmic pressure to the limbs using air-filled chambers that inflate and deflate in a programmed sequence. This external pressure mechanically stimulates the movement of blood and lymphatic fluid back toward the heart.

As the chambers cycle, compression supports venous return, helping move deoxygenated blood out of the extremities while encouraging fresh, oxygenated blood to circulate back into the tissues. This process supports circulation efficiency and reduces fluid pooling that can occur with prolonged sitting, standing, or physical activity.

Compression therapy also influences the lymphatic system, which plays a key role in fluid balance and waste removal. By assisting lymphatic flow, compression supports the clearance of metabolic byproducts that accumulate during physical stress and exercise.

Because the pressure is controlled and sequential, compression therapy provides these circulatory and lymphatic benefits without placing active demand on muscles or joints. This makes it a widely used modality in recovery-focused routines and low-impact wellness settings.
What to expect
Compression therapy sessions take place in our recovery lounge, designed to feel relaxed and comfortable. You’ll be seated on one of our couches while the compression sleeves are fitted to the appropriate areas.

Once the session begins, the system runs automatically, cycling through periods of compression and release without any need for manual adjustments. Sessions start and stop on their own, allowing you to fully relax while the therapy runs.

Most people describe the experience as calming and restorative. You can remain seated, rest, or simply unplug during your session while the system works through its programmed cycles.

When the session is complete, the compression sleeves are removed and you’re free to return to your normal activities.
